Dreamseeds Arts Fest by Club Rainbow, 18 – 25 Nov, *SCAPE
An initiative by Club Rainbow (Singapore), Dreamseeds Arts Fest 2017 is a multi-experiential arts festival headlined by the non-profit organisation’s beneficiaries. Dreamseeds Arts Fest is an open-to-public inclusive arts platform that offers beneficiaries the opportunity to realise their creative potential and connect with a greater audience through the practice of art. Affordable Art Fair Singapore Autumn 2017, F1 Pit Building, 17 – 19 Nov 2017
All set to turn the city pink for its eighth Autumn Edition, the fair will be offering a fresh plethora of local, regional and international talents featuring over 65 galleries and showcasing a wide range of contemporary art all priced between $100 to $15,000 with 75% of the art offered at under $7,500. Offering hands on advice, and educational guidance to all newbie art lovers as well as established art collectors, the Affordable Art Fair is defined by making art accessible and as welcoming as possible, throwing art elitism out of the window, and ensuring that everyone can fall in love with art. Dastak – A Hindi Theatre Festival (with English surtitles), Goodman Arts Centre, 16 – 19 Nov, various timings
After a hugely successful first year in 2016, Singapore’s only Hindi Theatre Festival comes back for a second edition. Here’s DASTAK in a nutshell: 10 Hindi playlets for the cost of one, with English surtitles, 10 different stories, 10 different directors, a cast and crew of 70 who have put all this together, and DASTAK Special: A non-ticketed 30-min musical street theatre performance – DASTAK NUKKAD – every day from 16-19 Nov at 7 pm, before the series of playlets. Journey 2: The Pulse by Nadi Singapura
Journey 2: The Pulse will feature homegrown talents from Nadi Singapura, with guest performers from ITE College Central’s Batidas Centro and ITE College East’s Soul Percussion. Cast members will work under the music direction of Mr Riduan Zalani (Artistic Director, Nadi Singapura Ltd) together with Mr Alhafiz Jamat and Mr Ismahairie Putra Ishak from Singapore’s premiere instrumental ensemble, OrkeStar Trio. The cast are also trained by dance choreographer, Mr Nizarfauzi Norlie (Nadi Singapura / SRIWANA), silat artist and choreographer, Mr Fareed Sallim (Keluarga Besar Pewaris Pusaka Karuhun/ Som Said Sri Warisan Performing Arts Ltd) and dramaturge Ms Aidli ‘Alin’ Mosbit. liTHE 2017 by T.H.E Dance Company, SOTA Studio Theatre, 16 – 18 Nov
The sixth iteration of T.H.E Second Company’s annual liTHE production spotlights the choreographic talents of Second Company’s alumni, Anthea Seah, Goh Shou Yi, and Marcus Foo, three Singaporean artists who have carved striking paths in our local contemporary dance scene and abroad. They create three brand new works for 21 dancers from T.H.E Second Company – our semi-professional youth wing that nurtures talented young dancers through performances, collaborations, residencies and professional-level training.
