Open Call for W.O.W. (Women on Women) Classics: A Pilot Literary Project

Open Call for W.O.W. (Women on Women) Classics, a pilot literary project to increase awareness of forgotten or neglected classics by women.
Do you want to know more literary classics written by Singaporean women? Are you keen to develop further your analytical skills? ArtsEquator and award-winning writer Elaine Chiew have launched Women on Women Classics (W.O.W) to help you do just that. We have three (3) places for readers who will be introduced to a classic text each written by a Singapore woman, and mentored by Elaine over four weeks from 22 March – 15 April 2021, culminating in the making of a short video about the books they have read. The video will be published on ArtsEquator.com. Each reader will receive a SGD100 book voucher upon completion of the project.

The programme is open to all Singapore and Singapore PR women, aged 18 – 22, currently attending a local college or tertiary institution. To apply, send in a 50 word write-up on why you love literature and/or the classics, and a 200 word bio about yourself, to registration@artsequator.com by 12 Mar 2021. This project is presented by ArtsEquator and supported by Arts Fund.
