About the event

The Asian Arts Media Roundtable is a two-day meeting of arts editors, publishers, reviewers, arts journalists, critics, bloggers, podcasters, videocasters, academics and arts makers from Southeast Asia, East Asia and Asia-Pacific. The Roundtable is the first step towards establishing a network of arts media organisations and individual arts writers in the region that will have multiple impacts across the creation, discourse and consumption of the arts.

Arrival of delegates

Day One will focus on issues related to the arts media landscape, with a focus on publishing, sustainability, new forms and technologies, spaces and practices, censorship etc.

Keynote speaker for the day: Clarissa Oon.

25 MAY, 2019

Day Two will focus on content, the practice of critical reviewing in a changing publishing and creative practice environment.

About the event organizer

The Asian Arts Media Roundtable is presented by Arts Equator Ltd., an arts media company that values and promotes Southeast Asian regional arts practice. It is committed to developing arts writing and arts criticism which identify Southeast Asian creative practices as part of, rather than adjunct to, global contemporary arts. 

It is a not-for-profit company with its headquarters based in Singapore.
