Open Call: Community-Engaged Arts Workshop
This workshop is organised by Arts-ED to foster a community of practitioners who wish to harness the power of arts and creativity for social or educational transformation. It will bring together cross-sector professionals like artists, creatives, cultural workers and educators to plan and run community-based arts and culture projects.
Teams may choose to run either type of project and projects must be located in Penang:
A cultural mapping project with a pre-selected school (involving teachers and students)

Pangdemonium’s Playwriting Mentorship open call
Up to three promising applicants will be selected for this prestigious one-on-one mentorship that gives them the opportunity to work with Stephanie Street, a respected writer known for her fearless work. The programme begins in April 2020, where the mentee will work under Stephanie Street for one year to write a full-length play. All meetings will be arranged privately, so you don’t have to worry about it interfering with work or school. At the end of the year, the play may be considered for staging and/or submission for playwriting competitions.
The mentorship programme is open to all applicants of all ages.

Connections Through Culture is a mobility grants programme run by the British Council in the UK and East Asia. Open call for Silver Arts 2020/2021
The National Arts Council is inviting proposals from artists and arts organisations to develop and present arts experiences that are senior-centric and support the notion of creative ageing. Open call for PERMISI: Open Stage by P7:1SMA
P7:1SMA is proud to host PERMISI, a non-curated open-stage for artists to share with the public and evolve creation processes. PERMISI targets artists of all levels of training and experience. Each run will share approximately four artists with 30 minutes of performance and/or discussion. This will occur bi-monthly at Rumah P7:1SMA till 27 March 2020.
At Permisi, you will be given 30 minutes of presentation/performance time. You are free to use this time as you see fit: some participants have used it to purely perform, some divided the time to perform and hold a feedback and discussion session. This half an hour is an opportunity for you to not only stage your work, but also gather input and build your network. Additionally, you will be given a 2-hour rehearsal slot on your performance day. Permisi is 100% free of charge.

Singapore Night Festival: Open call for Night Lights proposals
This Open Call invites Singaporean and Permanent Resident artists to submit a concept for the installation of public light artworks within Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) as part of Night Lights 2020.
The 2020 edition of the festival aims to showcase a series of installations and performances that creatively explores innovation in the space of tradition and the future of heritage through contemporary innovative methods of engaging and inspiring heritage to a wide range of audiences.
The proposed artwork should draw inspiration and take reference from the contemporary and historical context of BBB as well as to encourage festivalgoers to experience a showcase of light installations that interact with and transform the urban spaces within the BBB area. National Gallery Singapore: Senior Manager, Keppel Centre for Art Education
The Gallery is seeking to fill the following position: Senior Manager, Keppel Centre for Art Education. The
Senior Manager will work with artists, designers and stakeholders to develop and operationalise learning
spaces and programmes for families and schools, contributing to a rich vibrant learning environment at the
Centre.
Essential duties are to project manage and coordinate the design, fabrication and maintenance of artwork exhibits, presentations, workshops and learning spaces at the Keppel Centre for Art Education, and to develop comprehensive operations guidelines, health and safety guidelines, risk assessment methodologies and Front-of House training programmes to ensure safe and smooth operations and visitor experience at the Centre.

Responsibilities include:
– Working closely with the Head of Programming to articulate the direction of AHL programmes and co-lead in the development and management of relationships with artists, other arts institutions and stakeholders.
– Working closely with the Marketing and Centre Management Teams in the marketing of AHL Venues Programmes, customer/stakeholder relationship building and contributing to the brand identity of AHL.

SOTA: Subject Head, Faculty of Visual Arts
The Subject Head of the Visual Arts faculty plays an important role in providing quality and rigorous art education by working closely with the Head in leading and developing the faculty towards nurturing students’ abilities in seeing and creating meaningful connections through a diversity of artistic processes and expressions.
Responsibilities include:
– Development and delivery of curriculum to a range of visual arts classes of different levels and technical proficiencies. The curriculum includes both studio practice and theory and history of art.
– Monitoring and evaluation of student progress, including providing useful and timely feedback to students and other stakeholders.
– Preparation and conduct of assessment of student learning.
SOTA: Teacher, Faculty of Dance
Responsibilities include:
– Design and implement curriculum and assessment for the Dance programme, specifically the ballet technique module
– Monitor and evaluate the progress and development of the students under one’s charge and giving useful and timely feedback to students and parents
– Work with others in supporting the faculty in curriculum development/review and other departmental needs
– Plan, implement and monitor co-curricular programmes to support students’ holistic development
– Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and preparing relevant teaching resources
