Puja Pantai Festival 2019, at Mah Meri Cultural Village, 9 Feb, 10am–3pm
Puja Pantai is an ancient Mah Meri ritual, and members of the public are invited to witness it. The ritual is believed to appease sea spirits and honour protector spirits. Visitors will also get to enjoy lunch before the ritual. Fee is RM80 person. The Mah Meri cultural village is on Pulau Carey, plan ahead for the commute.

Batik Fest 2019, at MaTIC, 8–10 Feb, 10am–7pm
An annual batik festival with a bazaar of batik and craft goods, workshops, food trucks, some performances and more. Gerai OA will be selling a range of Orang Asal crafts including baskets and books on indigenous issues.

Oral Fixation feat. Sarah Shue, at INTUN Nation, 7 Feb, 8pm
A monthly spoken word and poetry platform with featured acts and many open mic performers. This month, Yemeni-American performer Sarah Shue will be featured. Admission is RM20.
