Senandung Simfoni Pertiwi, 20 November 2017, 7:30 PM, Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta

Senandung Simfoni Pertiwi is Jakarta City Philharmonic Orchestra’s last concert of the year. For this last concert, the JCP presents an anthology of classic and contemporary Indonesian composition. The concert will be lead by conductor Budi Utomo Prabowo and Fafan Isfandiar. It also presents several guest stars including Indra Azis and Melly Goeslaw. Concert is FREE. Reservation is closed but there will be 50 available seats opened at 5 PM on the concert date. First come, first served. Self Explanatory, Now – 16 December 2017, Dia.Lo.Gue, Jakarta

Self-Explanatory is an exhibition by Ines Katamso, Natisa Jones, and Ykha Amelz that started as expressions of the self-reflection process of the 3 artists. Through these expressions, Ines, Natisa, and Ykha invite the audiences to enter their own self-discovery processes in the hope of finding growth in the journey. Orange the World, 25 November 2017, 4 PM, Institut Francais Indonesia – Thamrin, Jakarta

Orange the World is a campaign created by UN Women to end violence against women and girls. To open the campaign this year, IFI, together with UN Women, will screen “Des femmes et des hommes” by Frederique Bedos on 25 November at IFI. Video Mapping Class, 26 November 2017, 6:30 PM, Bentara Budaya Bali

Conducted by Jonas Sestakresna and Bimo Dwipoalam, this video mapping class is a continuation from the Prehistoric Soul Project on the Lamalera islands that they held in September. On top of teaching participants on the technicalities of video mapping, Jonas and Bimo would like to encourage the participants to use the new knowledge as an artistic way to express an awareness on environmental issues or matters that are important to them.
