Entertain yourself on this Valentine’s Day night with this romatic comedy musical. The Umbrellas of Cherbourg tells the story of Genevieve who was heartbroken upon the departure of her lover to fight in Aljazair. The Light Within a Night, 18-19 February 2017, 7:30 PM, Bentara Budaya, Bali

La Trobe University Student Theatre and Film, Mainteater Bandung, and Teater Lakon presents The Light within a Night, a theatre production about Jamarun, a poor farmer who was accused of slaughter and was hung as a punishment. The story continues after thousands of butterflies cover the sky soon after his death. The Light within a Night is directed by Bob Pavlich and Sahlan Mujtaba. Arus Bawah showcases the works of six young Bali born artists. Five of them studied art at ISI Yogyakarta and one of them moved after finishing his study at ISI Denpasar. Their personalities and how they approached their arts are affected by this move and the time of the move. Their artworks show whether they embrace or distance themselves from Bali.
