[Singapore] Arts and Culture Resilience Package (ACRP): Capability Development Scheme for the Arts (CDSA)
The National Arts Council (NAC) will provide a one-time Capability Development Scheme for the Arts (CDSA) for eligible arts organisations and individuals to encourage upskilling, and grow organisational capabilities. Apply between 16 March 2020 to 30 June 2020, 5pm. Training must take place from now till 31 December 2020.

[Singapore] Arts and Culture Resilience Package: Digital Presentation Grant for the Arts (DPG)
Under the Digitalisation Fund, NAC will support the arts and culture organisations’ and practitioners’ efforts to enhance the digitalisation of their work. The Digital Presentation Grant (DPG) is a time-limited scheme that aims to support efforts by artists and arts organisations to present their work in digital form or via digital mediums, during this COVID-19 period.
Applications will open from 14 April to 30 June 2020 (5pm), and projects should be completed by 30 September 2020. Successful applicants may receive up to $20,000 per project.
[Singapore] Self-Employed Person Income Relief Scheme (SIRS)
The government has announced a relief scheme for self-employed persons, including arts freelancers. Applications and appeals are managed by NTUC, and will be made online on 20 April 2020.
[NEW] [Singapore] Sing Lit Station HALP Fund
The HALP Fund is a discretionary fund used by Sing Lit Station to support literary arts practitioners in the creation and presentation of their work in any form. It also aims to provide subsistence funds during tough times. The maximum quantum will be $500 per application. Applications will be held year-round until 31 March 2021 or until funds are fully disbursed, whichever comes first.
[NEW] [Singapore] SAMPP COVID-19 Relief Fund
Singapore Association of Motion Picture Professionals are offering grants for filmmakers and others in the film industry.
[NEW] [Singapore] SG Stories Content Fund
The Singapore Tourism Board is offering to fund content creators in Singapore and around the world for digital video projects that tell amazing stories of Singapore. Apply between 1 and 31 May.
[Malaysia] Create Now Funding Programme
Malaysian performing artists, visual artists and independent musicians are encouraged to apply to the Create Now Funding Programme by CENDANA that aims to support practice and operations of Malaysian artists, collectives and arts organization during the COVID-19 public health crisis. The programme supports up to a total of up to RM1,500 per application for individuals and RM3,500 per successful application/ submission of idea(s).

[Singapore] Pasar Glamour Art Aid

Adult Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive a one-off $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up. Eligible individuals can start using the additional credit from 1 October 2020. Singaporeans aged 40 to 60 will receive a special $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up. This will be over and above the $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up for Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above. Eligible individuals can start using the SkillsFuture Credit provided under this package from 1 October 2020, on about 200 career transition programmes offered by the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centres.
[Singapore] Self-Employed Persons Training Support Scheme
All Self-Employed Persons will be entitled to between $7.50-$11 an hour of training allowance for SkillsFuture series courses and selected sector-specific training programmes. This will be administered by NTUC.

[Singapore] Venue Hire Subsidy
There will be a 30% subsidy for venue rental and associated costs for arts and culture activities, including productions, workshops and masterclasses taking place from 7 March to 30 June 2020. Eligible venues include for-hire spaces with a capacity of less than 1,000 at national cultural institutions such as The Esplanade, venues managed by Arts House Limited, Stamford Arts Centre, Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, Singapore Conference Hall, National Gallery Singapore, and National Heritage Board museums.
[Singapore] Singapore Unbound Relief Fund (SURF)
Singapore Unbound has decided to postpone this year’s writing fellowships to Southeast Asia and to commit the funds instead to aid Singaporean writers badly affected by the shutdowns. Creative writers, whether they are Singapore citizens living anywhere in the world or Permanent Residents of Singapore, may apply for a USD200/SGD280 grant from the Singapore Unbound Relief Fund with no strings attached. This fund is specifically intended to help those in dire need of immediate help. Donations to this fund are also welcome.

Call for applications: Goethe-Institut’s International Coproduction Fund
This funding is intended for coproductions by artists in the fields of theatre, dance, music and performance art, in which hybrid and interdisciplinary formats and the use of digital media may be key components. The target group comprises professional artists and ensembles abroad and in Germany, which demonstrably lack sufficient resources to realize their coproduction project on their own.
With the International Coproduction Fund the Goethe-Institut would like to support the unrestricted international and intercultural exchange of artists and their ideas. The facilitation of such an exchange and the networking it spawns among the various players are equally as important as the productions resulting from the project.
The joint application, which must be submitted by the foreign partner (living and working abroad), must show clearly that good working contacts already exist between the partners and that both parties are interested in putting together a dialogue-oriented production. The Head Office of the Goethe-Institut recommends highly getting in touch with local Goethe-Instituts for questions about the development of applications.

European Culture of Solidarity Fund
The European Cultural Foundation invites you to apply for the European Culture of Solidarity Fund. The Fund supports imaginative cultural initiatives that, in the midst of the global pandemic crisis reinforce European solidarity and the idea of Europe as a shared public space. Funds are given out in quantums of €5,000 – 15,000 and €15,000 – 30,000. Applicants can be based anywhere in the world, but their proposal must clearly contribute to a European Culture of Solidarity, the overall focus of the Fund.

Call for Submissions: National Youth Film Award 2020
The National Youth Film Awards (NYFA) is open for submissions under both Media Student and Open Youth categories. Participants aged between 15 to 35 years old are free to submit their Documentary, Animation, and Live Action films. This year’s winners will stand a chance to embark on a regional learning journey at events such as the Golden Harvest Awards and Short Film Festival, and SeaShorts Film Festival. Their films will be screened at these recognised events, and they will have the chance to network and learn from regional filmmakers at forums, workshops, and exhibitions.
Winners will also be invited to pitch their stories for an anthology of short films, where they will be given a $20,000 seed fund to produce a short film each.

Open Call: 5th Paphos International Film Festival
The Paphos International Film Festival (PIFF) returns for the 5th year with an open call for short films and documentaries. PIFF is an annual festival held every year in Paphos in the mediterranean island of Cyprus. PIFF is committed to supporting authentically independent short films and it aims to research, promote and develop the art of independent film making.
This year, the festival will take place on 26-28 June 2020 at the Cultural Center Technopolis 20 in Paphos and will include open-air screenings of short films and documentaries aiming to promote a spirit of friendship and cooperation among filmmakers from Cyprus and all over the world.

Objectifs Documentary Award 2020
The Objectifs Documentary Award champions original voices in visual storytelling in Singapore and the wider region. The Award enables photographers to work on new or existing projects, encouraging them to tell stories about their native communities. It welcomes different creative approaches to non-fiction storytelling, from conventional documentary photography to visual experiments. Projects may be presented in still images or use multimedia. Successful recipients will be given professional and financial support to work on their projects over a 6 month-long period. The final works will exhibited at Objectifs in March-April 2021.

Singapore Unbound: 3rd Gaudy Boy Poetry Book Prize
The Gaudy Boy Poetry Book Prize is awarded annually to an unpublished manuscript of original Anglophone poetry by an author of Asian heritage residing anywhere in the world. The winner receives book publication and USD1,000.00. Five finalists will be announced in July 2020, and the prizewinner in August 2020. The winning manuscript will be published in Spring 2021 by Gaudy Boy, an imprint of the NYC-based literary nonprofit Singapore Unbound.
Call for Entries: CPP’s ANI 41 [Philippines]
The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Intertextual Division is now accepting literary contributions for the 41st edition of ANI, the official literary journal of CCP.
With the theme “Paglalakbay: Lakad, Layag, Lipad,” the latest volume will contain essays, poems, short fiction and other literary genres that focus on the tales of Filipinos on their travelling experiences and their insights on culture, arts, and the human condition. Submissions may be in Filipino, English, and local languages of the Philippines, accompanied with a translation in either Filipino or English.

The Artground’s Visual Arts Space, is the body of the arts centre. The Tiger Moth Review, a new and independent eco-conscious journal from Singapore, is calling for submissions of poetry, prose, art and photography that emphasises the connections between “human activity and the environment that produces it”, work that displays an “awareness of ecology and concerns over environmental disaster” (“Ecopoetics”, Poetry Foundation).

Singapore Art Museum: Head of Department & Curator, Singapore Biennale & Residencies
SAM has set up a Biennale Office to assist in delivering its new curatorial direction. This office will undertake the organisation of the Singapore Biennale as well as other international projects, including an artist and curator residency programme, to position SAM as an important contributor to the global discourses of contemporary art. This position is part of the auspices of International Partnerships (IP) in the Singapore Art Museum (SAM). Responsibilities include:
– Design and implement curriculum and assessment for the Dance programme, specifically the ballet technique module
– Monitor and evaluate the progress and development of the students under one’s charge and giving useful and timely feedback to students and parents
– Work with others in supporting the faculty in curriculum development/review and other departmental needs
– Plan, implement and monitor co-curricular programmes to support students’ holistic development
– Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and preparing relevant teaching resources
