Caglar Kimyoncu, together with Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussuadiarja (PSBK) presents an interactive multimedia art exhibition titled what makes you who you are. In his residency at PSBK, Caglar experimented with Augmented Reality (AR) technology to adapt art to a form that is accessible and inclusive to all art makers and audience, especially those with disabilities. In Jakarta, there are several performances of the “Sonic Blossom” installation of Lee Mingwei’s Steven Stories exhibition at Museum Macan. In “Sonic Blossom” you could be one visitor member who will receive a song performance from a singer, taking the experience of a live concert to a more intimate level. Just like the other installations in Seven Stories, “Sonic Blossom” is presented to get audience to investigate and question various ideas on community and exchanges. This week, “Sonic Blossom” will be performed on the 5th from 2-6 pm, 6th from 1-5 pm, 9th from 12-4 pm, and 10th from 1-5 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, the alternative cinema Kineforum is bidding goodbye to its current place with a series of film screenings titled “Resolusi Waras”. In “Resolusi Waras”, Kineforum has curated a selection of films that remind us of high spirit and strategy to stay sane as we go through the currents of life. The films also share voices of the people who are under-represented, as well as voices of the youth. “Resolusi Waras” is created to also inspire the audience as Indonesia faces a political year. Goethe Institut Indonesia is looking for a curator for its experimental music series Alur Bunyi. The series is created to promote anti-mainstream musical experience by presenting performance where electronic music is juxtaposed against other genres of music. Through it, Goethe Institut also hopes to generate discussions on the position of experimental music, while providing space for musicians of different genres to experiment and test new sounds.
