My Life, My Choice is a photography exhibition on the life of Mak Rini, a drag queen living in Amsterdam. My Life, My Choice is an exhibition by Immanuel Antonius, a recipient of the Erasmus Huis Fellowship to Amsterdam 2017 and is supported by Permata Bank, Erasmus Huis, and Leica Store Indonesia. Dia.Lo.Gue Artspace, together with Kemang Creative Fair, presents Flow into Now, an exhibition on the present moment in relation to a spatial experience. Currated by Rizky A. Zaelani, Flow into Now presents the works of 21 different artists. The idea of present moments that inspired the artists in creating the artworks might be different from the present moments that the audience experiences and sees in the artwork. Paris-born Yannick Verdier Monsegur presents his solo exhibition titled Dance the City. In this series, Yannick frames the beauty of Paris along with various genres of dance movements ranging from modern, hip-hop, and tango. Sastra FKY 29: Menanam Cerita di Halaman, 30 Jul – 3 August 2017, Radio Buku, Bantul, Yogyakarta
As a part of Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta (FKY), and in collaboration with Kampung Literasi Iboekoe, FKY presents its literary series titled Menanam Cerita di Halaman, which translates to Planting Stories in The Garden. Çudamani Festival 2017, 3 – 5 August 2017, Jero Pondok Çudamani, Banjar Pengosekan, Mas, Ubud, Bali
Çudamani, one of Bali’s most respected performing art schools presents 3 nights of performances under the Çudamani Festival 2017. The Çudamani Children & Youth will perform on August 3rd. The Çudamani Founding Members will perform on the 4th and the Çudamani Performing Company will close the festival on the 5th of August. There will also be a Kecak workshop at 4 PM each day. Tickets to the performances are at IDR 200 K for each performance or IDR 500 K for all 3 performances. For more information, click here.
