The 29th Yogyakarta Art Festival returns this year with a theme of Umbar Mak Byarr!. In the Javanese language, the word Umbar means Release. And Umbar Mak Byarr simply means a great big release. This year’s art festival wants to look at human’s lives that despite their hectic lives still need rest. With that idea, the festival aim to present its activities that include cinema, theatre, and exhibition as places well the public can find their ‘rests’.
