To usher you into the new year, the Flying Balloons Puppet invites you to a production of Toshiro Suzue’s “My Friend Has Come”. The play shares a story of an impromptu meeting between two friends and how they dealt with memories of their past and the emotions they feel. Join director Basundara Mudra Anggana and actors Rangga Dwi Apriandinnur and Khorul Anwar as they present this Japanese story for the local audience. Ticket is at IDR 20,000. The Keliki style of Balinese painting is known for a very delicate and detailed drawings depicting life in Bali. If you ever marveled at the intricacies of those micro paintings, don’t miss this chance of learning how to make your own Keliki painting! Ketemu Project and Rumah Sanur invites Loster (Komang Sudiarta) to share how to make Keliki painting using a traditional yip pen. If you’re a young artist and are looking to deepen your craft, join this open call to enter this program for young working artists, created as part of the Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiarja (PSBK)’s Professional Development Residency. Through trainings and various workshops, this program aims to create a space for young artists to study, practice, as well as merge and develop their craftsmanship in both art and life.
