Are you a theatre maker who enjoys creating collaborative, socio-politically charged works? Join us at an exciting new theatre workshop at The Necessary Stage (TNS) that will spark your creativity and sharpen your critical thinking skills via forum and devising theatre techniques!
Led by TNS’ Artistic Director Alvin Tan, and assisted by Associate Artist A Yagnya, From Forum Theatre to Devising Theatre will see up to 20 emerging theatre-makers undergo an intensive training programme that journeys from the creative techniques of forum theatre to TNS’ unique devising methodology
This intensive program will also connect you with a range of theatre professionals—directors, playwrights, dramaturgs, and designers—through enlightening guest lectures and hands-on clinics. Through this eight-month process, you will collaborate with fellow participants to apply your newfound insights and devise new works that will be presented as public showcases of your works-in-progress at the Drama Centre Black Box.
