Cipta Seni Incubator

The Cipta Seni Incubator is a new artist development programme for performance artists based in Malaysia. Over three months in 2024, you will get to develop and workshop a performance piece while receiving dedicated feedback, creative development resources, and guidance. This includes: 

• One-on-one mentorship and critique by experienced arts & culture professionals  
• Online talks and workshops by Malaysian and UK experts 
• Networking opportunities
• A chance to perform a work-in-progress of your idea with an audience

Who Can Apply? 

• You’re a performance artist with an idea for a new performance that you want to develop. 
• Your artistic practice is in live performance or creating live artistic experiences (e.g. devised theatre, performance poetry, or interactive installations).
• You’re 18+.
• You’re a registered resident in Malaysia.  
• You’re able to commit to attending the various components of the programme from May to September, 2024.
