Workshop 1 – Experiencing Somatic Dance in the Everyday | Vincent Yong [Singapore]
Connect with the innate wisdom of the body (‘soma’ in Greek) through somatic movement, which integrates performing arts, physiology, psychology and sociology. Vincent Yong, Singapore’s first and only internationally-accredited Registered Somatic Movement Educator & Therapist, will lead participants in exploring gentle movements that release physical and mental tensions and bring a natural dance into their daily lives. By letting the body lead the way, participants can learn to use the breath and small movements to get a respite from our fast-paced lives and the pressures of the outside world.

Workshop 2 – Feel the Flow with Tai Chi Relaxation | Tania Sng [Singapore]
Gather family and friends to open and smooth the flow of ‘Qi’ (life force), in this easy-to-follow session on Tai Chi Relaxation with certified teacher of meditation & tai chi, Tania Sng. Grounded in Yin-Yang philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, Tania will lead participants through gentle, meditative movements focused on two acupuncture points designed to quiet the heart, relax the body, and build qi for better health. Since 2010, Tania has trained under esteemed martial arts masters, and will share simple, time-tested techniques to activate energy flow and restore inner balance. This experience can be enjoyed standing up or sitting down, and is suitable for all ages and abilities, from ages 3 to 130! You may leave feeling centred, at ease, and in harmony with all aspects of life.

Workshop 3 –Embracing Your Voice: Exploration & Empowerment with Gimbey dela Cruz [Philippines]
Embrace your true voice in this vocal discovery workshop with accomplished singer-actor-educator, Gimbey dela Cruz. Explore the power of your natural speaking voice in its purest form and unlock your inner vocal talent for everyday conversation, public speaking, or singing. Under Gimbey’s guidance, embrace the freedom to be your authentic self and gain confidence in the unique instrument that is your own voice. No singing experience required–just an openness to learn about the voice you were born with. A double degree holder in music education (University of Santo Tomas, Philippines) and musical theatre (LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore), Gimbey has over 20 years in performance and teaching, including vocal lessons and musical theatre workshops to performing enthusiasts and professionals of all ages

* Suitable for all ages and abilities. No prior experience required to attend.
* As these are movement and vocalisation sessions, participants are encouraged to turn on their cameras to allow visual interaction with the Instructor and fellow participants.
* While both sessions of each workshop will offer the same content, the experience will vary on each day
