Mandarin Reading Group | Liu Kuo-sung “On Abstract Paintings”

Join this reading group and delve into ink master Liu Kuo-sung’s written text On Abstract Paintings (1960) as he unpacks modern abstract art in relation to Chinese aesthetic thought. Together, we will discuss and meditate on the visual sensation and perception of his abstract ink paintings.

This reading group is led by Curatorial Assistant Tan Teen Zhen.

Recommended age: 16 years and above.

本次读书会将品读水墨大师刘国松1960年发表的文章《论抽象绘画》，探讨他如何从东方艺术思想下解读西方现代艺术中的抽象主义。通过细品刘大师的水墨实验作品，了解其创作中的视觉感受和感知。
