The Instituto Cervantes Manila celebrates the Day Of The Book on April 20 2024, with multiple events at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati. Along with a chosen selection of book sellers and local presses, Dia Del Libro will also mark the opening of the WTA Open Library, a collaboration between architecture studio WTA, Ayala Land, and Instituto Cervantes. This is an open library where books are “recycled” and exchanged. There is also Paseo de la Poesia, a street that gathers Filipino, Spanish, and Latin American poetry, with opening ceremonies and poetry reading at 11:00 AM. There will also be drawing workshops and talks throughout the day.
The event is free and open to the public.
