Held at Creative Space Art Gallery & Studio in Sengkurong Shopping Complex from January 20 to February 18, 2024, this immersive showcase offers a journey of contemplation, aiming to transform art into an accessible language. Recognising the audience in Brunei may not frequent galleries, the project’s goal is to bridge this gap, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. The Contoh exhibition project looks to redefine the art-viewing experience, making it approachable and less intimidating, ultimately establishing visiting galleries as a sought-after activity within the local community.

Contoh: ‘Mari Bercerita’ offers an immersive exploration, prompting introspection into the forces shaping beliefs and values. Attendees are encouraged to engage with diverse narratives presented by artists Yasmin Jaiding, Faiq Airudin, Susannah Sitai, Elroy Ramantan and Amir Noor, guided by storytelling through art and guiding questions throughout the exhibition. By uncovering hidden stories within each artwork, attendees foster connections that resonate deeply, while also reflecting on the disappearance of communal spaces.
