Call for Entries: The Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature

The 72nd Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature is now accepting submissions for the annual literary writing competition. Now with four divisions—English, Filipino, Regional Languages, and Kabataan (student works)—the competition boasts of 22 categories, including short fiction in English, Filipino, Hiligaynon, Cebuano, and Ilokano; novel, essay, short story for children, poetry for children, one-act play and full-length play in English and Filipino. The screenplay category is only open under the Filipino division, and the Kabataan Division is only open to the essay in both English and Filipino.
Entry submissions are to be done online. Deadline is on May 31 2024.
