$42 – $102
Beethoven Sonata No.10 for piano and violin in G major Op. 96 (1812)
Mendelssohn Violin Sonata No. 3 in F major MWV Q26 (1838)
Schumann Violin Sonata No. 2 in d minor Op. 121 (1851)
Join us for a quick hopscotch around 1825 to peer into the evolution of cultural and artistic ideals as well as expression of pre and post 1825 through a carefully selected trio of sonatas for violin and piano created over a span of almost half a century. Still, each master leaves behind their own indelible touch – Beethoven who brings us a message beyond life, the effusive optimism immediately recognisable as Mendelssohn’s and the dramatic turmoil of Schumann.
Catch all of this at an 1825 hopscotch before Chamber Music and Arts Singapore dives into a celebration of the 200th anniversary of this remarkable year for chamber music – in conjunction with our 5th anniversary celebrations later this year in November!
