Welcome to the only regional database of arts censorship and challenges. The database contains baseline information and case summaries of violations of freedom of expression in the arts in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, occurring between 2010 - 2022.
You can explore the over 670 cases we've documented so far by filtering according to 6 criterias: year, country, form, agent of censorship and methods used.
Note that this site is a prototype. The research is ongoing, and the data here is a small fraction of the information we have collected.
