A tribute to Rene O. Villanueva\, pioneer writer for children\, the workshop proper happens July 11 to 13 at the University of the Philippines Diliman. SUMMARY:2024 Philippine Queer Studies Conference: Call for Papers and Panel Proposals
DESCRIPTION:The 2nd Philippine Queer Studies Conference has launched a call for papers and panel proposals. This year’s theme is “Bridging queer knowledges and desires.” As with its first iteration\, this year’s conference seeks to highlight queer work and scholarship in the country\, and facilitate stronger connections between LGBTQI scholars\, policy makers\, and advocates. It is presented by the University of the Philippines (UP) Center for Women’s and Gender Studies\, co-presented by Babaylanes Inc.\, and UP School of Statistics\, and in partnership with UP Department of Sociology\, UP Babaylan\, and UP Rainbow Research Hub. \nThe 2024 Philippine Queer Studies Conference will be on October 25 to 27 2024\, at the University of the Philippines Diliman Quezon City.  \nAccepted proposals will be notified by 30 June 2024.  \nFor more details click here.
