Farm | Open Call for Funded Residency | Vietnamese Artists DESCRIPTION:A. Farm\, a Saigon-based art residency\, in partnership with the Goethe Institut Ho Chi Minh City\, is now calling for applications for its Season 5 period. \nOne three-month funded residency is being offered to a Vietnamese artist working in any medium. The selected artist will be entitled to a tailored program\, including but not limited to consultations\, in-depth discussions\, group critiques and visits to local artist spaces to distill their proposal into concrete deliveries. At the end of the residency\, the artist will have the chance to showcase the works in A. Farm premises. The resident will be offered a talking partner—who may be an artist\, writer or curator—to generate critical dialogue. \nKeeping with A. Farm ethos\, the artist-in-residency has complete freedom in their practice; there are no obligations or limitations placed upon them. The main aim is to enable a change of perspective\, inspire collaboration and foster conversations and exchanges with local artists and the community. \nThe residency period is from 1st May to 31st July 2024 and artists are asked to apply if they are available for the full season. Within the residency period\, the artist is encouraged to lead a public workshop/presentation along with producing a new body of work. Open Studio and End of Season Festivals will provide the artist with the opportunity for critical feedback and the exhibition of their work. \nA.
