DESCRIPTION:The Everyday Museum\, a public art initiative by Singapore Art Museum\, presents Speaking of which – a pop-up activation\, unfolding across two bustling city spaces in Tanjong Pagar and Harbourfront\, held in conjunction with Singapore Heritage Festival 2025. \n  \nExplore cultural pastimes of 1950s and 1960s Singapore through alternative takes on lesser-known or often-overlooked oral traditions and social practices. Featuring contributions by artist Wong Lip Chin and collective Critical Craft Collective\, archival materials from the National Library Board and literary texts curated by the editorial team behind creative practice journal PR&TA\, visitors are invited to reflect on art’s enduring role in shaping everyday life. \n  \nOn select weekends\, look forward to programmes that will further explore these vernacular histories and their traces in the present. \n  \nThese pop-up exhibitions build on Speaking of which\, The Everyday Museum’s self-guided audio trail series that invites renewed readings of familiar places through archival records\, oral interviews\, and commissioned audio works. Visitors can listen to excerpts onsite and explore the full experience via The Everyday Museum’s website. \nSpeaking of which – A pop-up activation is presented in collaboration with the National Library Board\, and supported by Guoco Tower and HarbourFront Centre.
