SUMMARY:Rock & Indie Festival 2023
DESCRIPTION:Rock & Indie Festival (RIF) is returning for its sixth edition on 10 and 11 February 2023 at\nLASALLE College of the Arts\, with a lineup of eight acts including headliners Aggressive\nRaisin Cat and Krunkle the Band. Since its first edition in 2017\, RIF has provided a platform for established and up-and-coming\nlocal musicians to perform and showcase their music. RIF 2023 will continue to carry the torch of highlighting the talents of Singapore’s rock and indie music scene. As Singapore’s only music festival focusing on the rock and indie genres\, RIF is dedicated to serving as a platform for music lovers to discover and support new local musicians. RIF 2023 will feature bands and solo artists performing live at LASALLE College of the Arts. \nFollowing the easing of COVID-19 measures\, RIF 2023 aims to rekindle the passion and energy of festival-goers as in-person live music performances make their return. \nRIF 2023 is sure to have festival-goers jamming out to top original hits\, and even songs that will premiere at the festival. Attendees can look forward to performances by LAYYI\, Made With Monsters\, Krysta Joy and Aggressive Raisin Cat on Day 1\, while Day 2 of the festival will feature MRTNS\, Venus Landing and Krunkle the Band.

SUMMARY:TROPICAL LAB 16: EMERGENCY
DESCRIPTION:Tropical Lab is an international art camp organised by LASALLE College of the Arts for masters degree and PhD candidates. Led by Senior Fellow\, Milenko Prvački\, the intensive and highly engaging art camp will bring together more than 20 students from international art colleges and institutions. Events include a series of workshops\, talks and seminars guided by established international and Singaporean artists\, culminating in an exhibition. \nThis year’s theme ‘Emergency’ is a contemporary idea primarily borne out by sudden medicalised ruptures to the human body\, severe political fractures to the body politic of society\, and everyday breaks as a means to temporally attend to matters with a sense of immediacy and urgency. These ritualised signifiers form the basis on which one can help ascertain the current station of contemporary society. \nLocation\n\n\n\nPraxis Space\, Project Space and Brother Joseph McNally Gallery
