SUMMARY:Outside-Inside: Paintings by Ho Chee Lick
DESCRIPTION:How may objects be given second lives? Could their associated memories be preserved through alternative mediums? In collaboration with Hock Siong & Co.\, Not gallery will explore the ideas of cultural memories and sustainability with the presentation of Outside-Inside: Paintings by Ho Chee Lick. From 28 July to 13 August\, 26 works produced by Dr. Ho Chee Lick at the turn of the century will be showcased at the second-hand furniture store alongside other eclectic yet distinctive objects\, through which new associations are established. Mr Lim Hong Wei\, founder of Not gallery\, shared\, “While we busy ourselves with National Day celebrations\, this exhibition through Dr. Ho’s artworks aims to reminisce about Singapore’s past\, and look towards the future by spotlighting sustainability in our surroundings.”
