DESCRIPTION:Grab a beer or a shot because the competition is getting INTENSE.\nDetails:\n10 poets\, knockout format over 3 rounds.\nThe second round is a two-minute improvised poem written to prompts (you will get 10 minutes). Poets should prepare two poems not exceeding three minutes in length for the first and third rounds.\nSign up for a competitive slot or an open mic slot by DMing us at @outspoken_sg!\nPoets will be accessed by judges selected from the audience.\nPrizes (that CASH CASH):\n1st – $50\n2nd- $30\n3rd- $20\nTickets: $10 at the door.\nDoors open at 7:30pm\nF&B is available.\nOutspoken is an independent event run by Marc Nair and Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips.

Exact format and prize structure is in the sign up link.\nEvent details are as followed:\n5th August 2023\, 8-10.30 pm\nBlackbox\, Stamford Arts Centre\nThis event would not be possible without the support of Singlit Station\n\n\nAbout the Organisers: \nSPOKE & BIRD \nSpoke & Bird is a poetry open mic in Singapore which provides a welcoming space for new and seasoned poets. It also provides a platform for established local and international writers\, performers\, storytellers and musicians to showcase their work. Founded in 2017\, Spoke & Bird can also be found as a live streamed poetry night. \nOUTSPOKEN \nOutspoken is a new bi-monthly competitive Spoken Word Poetry event in Singapore consisting of 3 rounds including 1 improv round. \nSING LIT STATION \nSing Lit Station is a registered charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC). Its vision is to be a platform where readers and writers can meet. \nIts core mission is to serve the local literary community of writers and readers\, through: creating a space for writers to grow their artistic and professional lives; inviting readers to explore our literary culture; and working with many partners to build inclusive and dynamic communities.
