SUMMARY:19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 2025: Open Call for Curatorial Proposals
DESCRIPTION:The Philippine Arts in Venice has announced its open call for curatorial proposals for the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 2025. All Filipino architects\, curators\, practicing artists from the different disciplines\, urban planners\, ecological activists\, geographers\, historians and critics of space\, heritage workers\, among others\, are invited to submit to the discourse on architecture that the biennale champions. Proposals grounded in research and that engages in interdisciplinary collaboration are encouraged\, as well as those contextualized in urgent global challenges\, the task of sustainability\, and the goal of resilient design\, inclusivity\, and social responsibility. The Philippine Pavilion will be housed in Arsenale\, the major exhibition space in Venice\, Italy. \nResults will be announced on May 31 2024. For more information click here.

SUMMARY:2025 GOH Pavilion Book Exhibition: Call for Submissions
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Philippines’ Guest of Honour Country activities for the 2025 Frankfurt Buchmesse (FBM)\, the organizing committee has called for submissions to the Philippine Pavilion Book Exhibition. The 2000-square-meter pavilion in Germany will cradle the book exhibition that will showcase the distinguished titles from a century of publishing in the country\, inclusive of all genres as well as textbooks\, coffee table books\, art books\, and other niche genres. A board of jurors will curate the final selection. All publishers and authors are invited to contribute to the exhibition.  \nThe Philippines’ participation as GOH country in the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2025 is a collaboration among the National Book Development Board (NBDB)\, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA)\, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)\, and the Office of Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda. \nSubmit your titles through this link.

DESCRIPTION:This year’s Cinema Rehiyon happens in the Western Visayas\, with the theme “Patubas sang Taliambong\, Banwa nga Mahamungayaon” (The Fruits of Culture\, A Creative City). An event brought to the public by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA)\, this 16th iteration boasts of an entire day devoted to film talks on the March 19\, and the awarding of winners to Cinekasimanwa 2023 which happens on the scheduled Filmmakers Night on the 21st. There is also an exhibition of film-related books and publications that highlights the intersection between books and publishing\, and filmmaking and its creativities.  \nAll film screenings and events are free of charge\, but registration is mandatory through this link.
