DESCRIPTION:After her boyfriend dumps her for being depressed\, Julia (Kimberley Kiew)\, an actor\, turns up unannounced at the home of her sister and brother-in-law\, hellbent on understudying their perfect lives. \nShe appropriates Hemingway’s method of writing Shakespeare’s lines by hand to get a sense of genius\, unrelentingly copying Melanie (Kimberly Chan) and John (Steven Murphy) to “become” them. In so doing\, she sets off a chain reaction leading to an inevitable implosion. \nTrouble Came is loaded with delicious irony\, addressing just how far we’ll go to keep up with the book covers of other people’s lives.
