SUMMARY:Kannama: Beyond the Lines and Rhymes
DESCRIPTION:Kannama: Beyond Lines and Rhymes is a musical homage to the legendary Indian poet and writer Bharatiyar\, featuring the premiere of five original orchestral pieces inspired by his works on love\, politics\, and revolution. These compositions are woven together through an engaging radio show narrative\, hosted by emcee Jing Yi How. \nThe concert also marks the debut of Singapore’s first-ever Indian contemporary fusion ensemble\, the Singahanagara Orchestra\, blending Indian classical and folk instrumentalists with a dynamic chorale section. \nLed by the artistic vision and direction of award-winning flautist Niranjan Pandian\, and under the show direction of Gildon Choo\, this performance offers a fresh and innovative interpretation of Bharatiyar’s timeless legacy. Supported by the National Arts Council (Singapore) and the Tamil Language Learning and Promotion Committee\, this historic concert is presented by Brahmastra Arts House. \nTickets can be found at the following link: https://peatix.com/event/4169173
