DESCRIPTION:From 24 March 2023 \nDaily\, 10am – 7pm | Fridays\, 10am – 9pm \nAsian Civilisations Museum\, Level 3\, Fashion and Textiles Gallery \n  \nThe Asian Civilisations Museum presents Textile Masters to the World: The global desire for Indian cloth with a selection of exquisite garments and textiles at its Fashion and Textiles Gallery. Featuring 27 pieces from the National Collection and loans\, the exhibition spotlights the historic global impact of textile production in India\, and its role as evidence of trade and cultural exchange between India and regions such as the Middle East\, Southeast Asia\, and Europe from the fourteenth to nineteenth century. From fashion and furnishing\, to gift exchange and heirlooms\, visitors can marvel at the artistry and craftsmanship of early textile masters\, and discover how Indian textiles influenced local designs\, materials and fashions wherever they were traded.

SUMMARY:Iloilo Mega Book Fair 2024
DESCRIPTION:The seventh Iloilo Mega Book Fair with the theme “”Our Shared Narratives: Embracing Indigenous Voices.” Iloilo City\, with the slogan “The City That Reads\,” cradles various indigenous traditions that inform contemporary creativities which\, in recent years\, has worked at building an audience around local writing and literatures. Central to this is homegrown Kasingkasing Press which has organized the IMBF since its inception. \nThis year’s IMBF coincides with the first Leoncio P. Deriada Conference on Literature and Cultural Work on April 19\, 2024 at the UPV Cinematheque\, Iloilo City Campus. Organized by the Hubon Manunulat and the Division of Humanities of University of the Philippines Visayas this conference pushes to the fore the contributions of the Leoncio P. Deriada\, the Father of Contemporary West Visayan Literature\, with the conference theme “Leoncio P. DESCRIPTION:The Instituto Cervantes Manila celebrates the Day Of The Book on April 20 2024\, with multiple events at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati. Along with a chosen selection of book sellers and local presses\, Dia Del Libro will also mark the opening of the WTA Open Library\, a collaboration between architecture studio WTA\, Ayala Land\, and Instituto Cervantes. This is an open library where books are “recycled” and exchanged. There is also Paseo de la Poesia\, a street that gathers Filipino\, Spanish\, and Latin American poetry\, with opening ceremonies and poetry reading at 11:00 AM.
