DESCRIPTION:29 May – 21 June 2025 \nMarina Bay and neighbouring precincts at South Beach\, Singapore River\, Raffles Place \n  \nAsia’s leading sustainable light festival\, i Light Singapore returns from 29 May to 21 June 2025\, to illuminate the city and connect communities through captivating light art installations. Organised by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and presented by UOB\, this year’s Festival is anchored on the theme To Gather and inspired by the colour red to bring people from all backgrounds together to forge new memories and spark conversations on a more sustainable\, shared future. \n  \nFestivalgoers can look forward to 17 new light art installations by 20 artists at Marina Bay\, returning satellite site\, South Beach\, and new sites along the Singapore River and at Raffles Place.

The production captivates with a powerful combination of technical skill and performance chemistry.  Achieving success while masking failure\, the narrative is formed when the action cuts between the creation and the execution of hypnotic patterns and juggling movement sequences. \n  \nGibbon takes inspiration from the world of dance\, innovating choreographically and conceptually\, mixing different art forms with juggling and exploring ideas through movement and devised theatre to create a surreal and touching atmosphere. Patfield and Triguero capture the tension of gravity defiance\, combining the inevitable speed of an object falling with the slow movement of intertwined arms and hands. \n  \nPoetic and comedic\, Gibbon is a unique spectacle that invites you to marvel equally at the depth of thought and the proficiency of its performers.
